Best Western New Kent Hotel

I stayed in room 14. Previous issues with this room appears to be addressed. Bed was comfy and bathroom nicely refurbished. No issues with the water as it was hot and plenty. The restaurant is very nice. It's Indian food, the curry was fantastic. The downside is that the restaurant smells do get into the hotel corridors. Breakfast is made to order and was again fantastic. Great server staff in both. Breakfast and evening meal rooms are very nicely decorated. Easy walk to local shops. If I was to be picky, the reception staff are a bit frosty, maybe something to work on as first impressions matter.

A lovely hotel. A friendly welcome at reception. I went down to the restaurant early and ate without booking. The food was lovely and were very adaptable to dietary needs. I was shocked at the size of my room. It had a double bed and a single in it - very spacious. The shower was very powerful. Breakfast was also very nice although chosen as it was supposed to be a buffet breakfast but it was in fact cooked to order. I wouldn't stay here again which is a shame as it is a lovely hotel but the beds were rock hard. I tried both the beds hoping maybe the single bed would be slightly softer but it wasn't. If you like an extra firm bed - go for it. Definitely not for people who prefer soft/medium mattresses.

Solid hotel, the room was nice if a little dated. The bathroom needs a revamp - the tiling was quite dirty and the grouting needed redoing. Warm was nice and warm, good view and comfy bed. Staff were super friendly too. The parking is limited, but included in your stay which is a real saving!

The staff couldn't be more helpful, very friendly. The room was clean and warm. Lovely bed, added bonus of a bath, which had plenty hot water. Excellent place to stay, the breakfast was exceptional, good choice, the cooked breakfast was delicious and hot, couldn't fault anything about this hotel.

Been staying at this hotel over the last 3 years while daughter studied at uni and always found it reasonable, clean and friendly. Not eaten there but no reason to doubt the food. No left and parking seem to be the main gripes but they make it very clear on the website and confirmation messages about these. Many thanks to all the kind staff over the years.

Our unexpected visit (15 minutes notice from booking to our arrival) was a fantastic stay. From the urgent phone call we had helpful and friendly staff who were very welcoming. The room was ready for us to stay, the complementary tea and coffee was much appreciated. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant which was better than perfect. I my self didn't feel too great so only ate a small portion of my meal which the staff recognised and went out of their way to offer me other options of anything I fancied, after I declined they went as far as deducting my meal from our bill which was not expected at all. My other half thoroughly enjoyed every last bite and has suggested we return! Our room was spotless, very comfortable, clean towels, bedding and bathroom. Couldn't ask for more! Thank you so much for taking us in

It was my first stay at this hotel and was greeted with warm welcome and the staff over the last few days there were very helpful, was very happy with the room despite it being on the small side it was spotless throughout couldn’t find any fault with it and the beds were spotless and very comfy I got a very good night sleep here and I would highly recommend it here not just for the hotel but the location was perfect for me with lots of places to get food only 2 stops from the City and a short walk from Jesmond Dene! I will definitely be staying again in the near future.

Booked for a concert in Newcastle There is a bus stop across from hotel, it's just over a mile to walk. Was greated by a lovely lady in reception, check in was very easy The room was ok and clean, with a double bed, ensuite was lovely. The breakfast was lovely, with a good choice. Brilliant service, will stay there again.
